1. When I first read this deal I thought that it was a made up one. But it is for real, and when you break it down it just doesn't make sense. I have never used Groupon or anything like that before but I am sure there are only some cases that it would work. If there was a deal that could get someone coming back for more it would be better. Something like buy one service the net one half off? At least the customer would be walking through the door twice, maybe by then you can keep them as a loyal customer? Not sure if this would work or not?
PR is all about communications (among other skills) and stereotypically women are better at this...so what?
Maybe it was jealously that drove this study whatever it was I am happy to say that I am a woman in the PR field. When I look around at all the great professionals around me (male or female) I know that there are more then 'soft skills' required and everyone works hard to achieve results everyday!
3. I have spoke to an artist who strongly dislikes Pinterest. She
said that once her work is pinned, Pinterest has full rights to all of her
work. They can modify it and do whatever they want with it, she looses all
control. She doesn't want her work on there at all and has since deleted her
account completely.

post. It reminds me that research is key! Everything must be strategically
planned. Twitter is becoming more of a key factor in developing your brand's
image everyday. People will pay attention to what you post on Twitter if you do

5. Building relationships in the industry is key, there is no doubt in that. I do find it ironic that we now have to build virtual relationships. We build relationships with someone we have never seen in person.
Brands need to take advantage of this. It is a cheap way for them to interact with their customers. It a great way to build relationships and a quick and easy way to respond to customers complaints or concerns.
